Description

If you can...

Image is an SF-36 Raptor Interceptor showing its superior starfighter accelleration at less than ten meters above sea-level. The scene is from Episode Four's script when Two SF-36 Raptor Interceptors embarass a pair of Japanese F-2 jets off the coast. The fact that they go from sub-sonic to mach 3 + in under ten seconds is one of the benefits of having a high performance multi-environment starfighter.

The image itself is a composite of 3D Studio Max for the fighter design, Terragen 3D terrain generating for the background, and PSP 8 for effects, traceover and final image work.
The plumes of water were easier than I expected, though I wanted to go for a more... insane effect, but it would have blotted out the rest of the background.
I belive the best little trick I figured out how to do in this image was the camera-motion-blur. Anyone's who's checked the tools knows a motion blur just effects the whole area. So one will ask, how does that successively more severe (from back to fore) blur work?

Well, three segments, lasso selection tool, three sperate layers for each segment... It's more than I want to type about right now.

This is presented in Wallpaper style format for your enjoyment.
